Acts 3:1–10 — The Lame Man Healed
Peter and John go to the temple at the hour of prayer.
A man lame from birth is carried daily to the Beautiful Gate.
He asks Peter and John for money.
“Silver and gold I do not have, but what I do have I give you.”
Peter does not use what he lacks as an excuse for withholding what he has.
“In the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, rise up and walk.”
His feet and ankles are strengthened immediately.
He enters the temple walking, leaping, and praising God.
The people recognize him and are filled with wonder and amazement.

Acts 3:11–26 — Peter Preaches Christ
The miracle draws a crowd at Solomon’s Portico.
Peter denies that his own power or godliness healed the man.
The God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob glorified Jesus.
They denied the Holy and Righteous One and killed the Author of life.
God raised Jesus from the dead: “To this we are witnesses.”
The man was made strong through the name of Jesus.
Christ’s suffering fulfilled what God had spoken through the prophets.
“Repent therefore, and turn back, that your sins may be blotted out.”
Moses foretold the coming Prophet whom the people must hear.
God promised Abraham that all families of the earth would be blessed.
God sent Jesus to bless them by turning them from their wickedness.
